We Find The Defendant Guilty Of All Charges! Essays - Free Essays

We Find The Defendant Guilty Of All Charges! Essays - Free Essays "We find the defendant guilty of all charges!" Romeo and Juliet Essay It is known that in Shakespeare?s tragedies main characters die in the end, and in his comedies people marry. Since Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy, Romeo and Juliet are going to die in the end. Some events have to lead to their deaths, and someone makes these events happen. The person(s) who started it all and did something that led to all the other events that caused the death of "a pair of star-crossed lovers" (Prologue, 6). The Capulets and Montagues would be most responsible for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet because if their ancestors didn?t start the fighting, and they didn?t continue it, nothing terrible would have happened. The first lines of the book tell us about the hate and envy between the two houses. Choir: "Two households, both alike in dignity,/. . ./From ancient grudge to new mutiny," (Prologue, 1-3). The choir tells us that the whole conflict started a long time ago with really little things, and then grew into huge fights involving many people. No leader of either household ever though about making peace, they were all too busy to spoil everything for the rival family. Only after the death of their children they realized how wrong they were. (Their hate reminds me of Holocaust, when Nazis hated and killed Jews for no particular reason at all, only because they were of a different religion. That kind of hate just makes me mad.) Romeo and Juliet first meet each other at a party at the Capulets? house. They fall in love with each other at the first sight without knowing that they are from rival houses, and when they do learn about it, it is too late. Juliet says: "My only love, sprung from my only hate!/Too early seen unknown, and known too late!" (I, v, 147-148). Juliet realizes that it was a mistake to fall in love with Romeo, because he is one of the people she should watch out for. He is her first and only love, but he is an enemy of her family. Luckily for Romeo, Juliet is smart, and such dumb thing as unreasonable hate between their parents wouldn?t stop her from loving Romeo and getting married with him. She is sorry that their families are enemies, though, because everything would be much easier if they weren?t. So this is the first time when the hate between Capulets and Montagues becomes an obstacle to Romeo and Juliet?s happiness. Only after their children die, do the Montague and Capulet come to their senses. The Prince accuses them of killing Romeo and Juliet: ". . . Capulet, Montague,/See what a scourge is laid upon your hate,/That heavens finds means to kill your joys with love!" (V, iii, 304-306). The Prince makes them see how wrong they were all the time, that all because of their hate, because they couldn?t let their children love each other, Romeo and Juliet died. After that, Capulet and Montague make peace, and Montague even says that he will make a gold statue of Juliet, but what is that going to do, it is too late, nothing will bring their children back. It is totally Capulets? and Montagues? fault that Romeo and Juliet died. If they didn?t hate each other so much, they would let their children marry, and they would be able to live happily ever after. There was only one person that realized how unreasonable the fighting was and even tried to stop it, and he was Benvolio. Benvolio was a Montague, but the Capulets didn?t have a peacemaker such as Benvolio. They only had Tybalt, whose only goal was to destroy all the Montagues. Also we don?t really know how Romeo and Juliet?s parents would have reacted if they had known that their children love each other. Romeo and Juliet didn?t even try to tell them about love between them because they were afraid that their parents wouldn?t understand them, but maybe they would. The problem is, we don?t know, because Capulet and Montague learned about their children?s love when they were already dead. It is still mostly Capulets? and Montagues? fault that Romeo and Juliet died, but maybe

Femenism Essays

Femenism Essays Femenism Essay Femenism Essay Is a very strong component In the three short stories that were studied In class. The stories consisted of The Story of an Hour, The Yellow Wallpaper and The Vanishing Princess. All of the stories possessed a female protagonist who was somewhat dominated by a male figure. Even though the female characters have completely different backgrounds, they all seemed to be in similar situations. To understand the nature of the stories we must look at them under a feminist perspective. This allows us to see the negative affect that that the men had on the omen in the story. In every story there was a man who degraded the female protagonist and even though they were done is different ways, it resulted in the female mentally, or physically disappearing. In The Story of an Hour the female protagonist Mrs.. Louise Mallard was a normally married woman when she was told about her husbands death and started to feel different emotions then she expected. She said It over and over under her breath: free, free, free! She felt little to no sorrow, but rather had an Insurmountable feeling of freedom and prosperity. : She legalized that throughout her marriage she had been Limited and confined, but It was not by her husband directly. She felt that she was confined to the marriage, and that being married to someone limited her soul and her wellbeing. There would be no one to live for during the next coming years, she would live for herself. With the Joy and excitement that came with this realization, she was looking forward to her next chapter in her life when the husband showed up on her front door and everything she wanted out of life vanished into thin air. The moment ended up being too much or her already weakened heart, so she passed away in result of heart failure. In The Vanishing Princess the Protagonist Is a princess who doesnt have any human traits like e. G. Eating, or time keeping. So throughout the story, the male soldiers who pass by end up putting their Ideas of women and how they should be on the princess until she finally doesnt recognize herself and she ends up questioning her identity along with her existence until she ultimately disappears. The main difference between the two characters is that the princess in getting imprisoned by the male ideology in the rising action, while Mrs.. Mallard is getting free. The major similarities in the characters are that they both are being changed by the men or their relationship to them until they can no longer bear it and end up disappearing. In the story The Yellow Wallpaper our female protagonist is being put down and degraded by the two male characters. Both characters are close to her and they both have a higher position in authority. She Is mentally Ill and her husband and brother who happen to be doctors are trying to cure her. And I know John would think It absurd. But I must say what I feel and think In some way. Throughout the story she Is trying to share her Ideas on how to cure herself, but by being a female In a male-immolated world ten men put tenet Ideas AT now a woman snouts Olsten Ana follow a mans lead he (the husband) is very careful and loving, he hardly lets me stir without special directions. She is constantly ignored until she ultimately loses her sanity completely and ends up possibly killing one of her doctors. The main difference in the characters is that they all ended up disappearing in their own way after being confined in the male dominated society. This showed that they were not pappy with the way they were being treated so they escaped in in whichever way they could. The similarities in between the characters is that they were all under the domination of a male figure and they all ended up failing to cope with confinement that came with being degraded as a female. Every woman did what they could to find their way out. In conclusion the three stories that we discussed, all three female protagonists were confined to a male dominated society and they each found their way out of it. Each character had a different setting and back story, but they all went wrought the same degraded and limited lifestyle. Mrs.. Mallard was limited in what she felt she could do in her life because of her marriage.

History of Christianity to the Reformation Research Paper

History of Christianity to the Reformation - Research Paper Example Not until in the year 312 A.D when the emperor and his soldiers were in the quest to overthrow Maxentius, a man who was allegedly believed to want to take over the Roman Empire. According to Anonymous (45- 46), the soldiers of Maxentius were thrice more than those of Constantine. David (1-2) adds that Emperor Constantine was born in a place called Naissus, in recent times renamed Nish. He was the eldest son of Constantius Chlorus and Helena. Emperor Constantine’s father was promoted to serve as the Augustus after he married a Caesar’s daughter and when he died Constantine took over the Augustus. This led to his fame and popularity among the Roman people. This gave him more power and probability to get the chair of Roman Emperor. The sudden change came when Emperor Constantine said a small prayer shortly before the battle was underway. Even though he was not sure of what was going on, it is legendary that after saying the prayer he looked up above and saw a cross that sh one greatly and was located higher than the sun. He thought that his gods were not as powerful as the Christian God otherwise the cross should have been located at the same level to the sun. If the sun that he served had appeared higher than the shinning cross, maybe he would not get that conviction. Since the sun was going to set, the shinning cross was vividly seen and had the words â€Å"by this sign conquer†. Therefore, he believed that it was the God of Christians who caused this sign to appear at such a moment after prayer. The sign he saw was proceeded by a dream in which Anonymous (45- 46) notes he still saw more of these signs. Then came the day when the battle was set. Maxentius troupe, the army that looked so big, was defeated surprisingly. Maxentius in pursuit to escape and save his life died after drowning in a river called Tiber. Emperor Constantine at this juncture was fully convinced that the help came from the God of Christians. Ever since he honoured Christi anity and worked to the best of his abilities to honour the God of Christians and became the first Christian emperor. He is the reason for the Christian faith and history to date (Anonymous 45- 46). According to David (1-2), Constantine became the undisputed emperor after his soldiers defeated the soldiers of Maxentius. This led to the rise of Christians who were at first despised, persecuted and deemed superstitious. Christianity hence forth prevailed in Rome and affected not only the Roman Empire but also the Christian church. Historians have not disputed the reason as to why Constantine transformed to Christianity. He adds that the God that Constantine honoured so much helped him in the beginning till the end of his reign. Again, this writer likens Constantine to Moses because the two were brought up in hostile homes and the religions that they held at this time are those that had overthrown their enemies; Christianity. Moses fought for Christianity when he was sent to release th e Israelites. The leaders of the enemies of these two men died by drowning in water and this mark another similarity between Moses and Constantine. David (1-2) describes Emperor Constantine as a one great and eminent person. Attributing these characters to the fact that he was brave hence the name Great. Before his reign, Christianity’s doctrines and teachings in Rome had lost value and integrity. After he sat on the great seat, Emperor Constanti

Labor Unions and Their Impact on the Economy Essay

Labor Unions and Their Impact on the Economy - Essay Example The state employees are not happy with the proposal of the governor that they would have to make a contribution of 5.8 % of their salary towards schemes of pension along with the payment of 12.6 % of their insurance premiums for health. In this section of the research paper, various arguments in support of the union’s protest will be presented. 2.1 â€Å"Wisconsin Governor is Against the Worker’s Rights†- Protest in MadisonOn February 15, 2011, the public employees, community supporters and union activists in a number of more than 15,000 jammed at the Capitol Square in Madison for protesting the governor’s plan to band the rights of the workers and demolish jobs of the middle-class community of the society. The governor denied making any changes in his plans and has mentioned that if the bill is not passed by the state legislature, he would compel massive layoffs along with hampering of state services and thus would cost several jobs.According to a highway worker and member of AFSCME, the attack on the worker’s rights is a part of the budget plan of the governor. The move of the governor has been demonstrated as a way of political business that is interested in taking the rights away from the people. The appeal of a few protestors is such that they are in complete support to the governor’s activities for balancing the budget but not at the sake of the worker’s rights, as evident from the views of a retired Communications Workers of America member. The protestors mentioned that the governor was imparting the bad effects of a budget bill by setting up such a policy that would take away the general rights of the people (American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees,

Canadian cities Essay Example for Free

Canadian cities Essay This piece of essay will answer whether there are ghettos in Canadian cities and which are these cities and why them not the others. What are the main causes of ghettos and what the authorities are doing about this issue? Ghettos in Canadian Cities. There has been an increase of minority groups in most of the Canadian cities. The minority groups are linked to poverty or to be exact low income and neighbourhood distress. It has been realized that the emerging ghettos in Canadian cities are in line with what is witnessed in the United States which is brought about by racial segregation especially directed to the black people. The other cause of growing ghettos in Canadian cities is the immigration and the cost living. Many people cannot afford to live in expensive apartments or rather they choose to live in low income houses. There is a remarkable growth of the minority population which depends on where the people or the immigrants come from, their countries of origin. In this minority group there is a high birth rate hence this increases the number of people or the population of poor and jobless people in many towns. However, in the United States the definition of a ghetto is, a residential part in the town or district that is concentrated by a certain ethic group and many or the majority of the members live in poor conditions and rarely get all the basic needs. Many of these ghettos are establishing near rich estates because the low income earning people depend on the rich people from rich neighborhoods. Many of these people who have been subjugated to the ghettos are the blacks and the Hispanics. A research study is going on and the commonly used terminology is to refer to this people who stay in the ghetto. Names like, immigrants, ethnic communities and they are also referred to as racialized groups. As the ghettos or the minority increase in number the more it violates the traditional ecological models that used to see immigrants and ethnic groups integrating geographically and assimilating through culture. There is confusion in many Canadian cities because of the definition as some say enclaves as others insist that these are ghettos. But an intriguing issue is, there is a difference between an enclave and a ghetto. In a ghetto people can be from so many ethnic backgrounds that are poor and there living standards very low and an enclave is the same but people are from the same ethnical background. There is ambiguity when the relationship between ethnic and segregation and concentrated poverty need definitions in connection with ghettos. The face of Canadian cities has been totally changing since the change in the immigration policy in the 1960s. The majority of the Canadian population was born in Asia, Africa and West Indies and many the countries from these regions are poor. The growing poverty level in Canada is pushing many people to high poverty neighbourhoods. Canadian cities like Vancouver and Toronto are the ones experiencing the life of ghettos and coincidentally these are the cities with a large number of immigrants from Asia and Africa respectively. The proximity of Vancouver to the Asian neighbours put it in this situation.

Patrick Ferguson Battle of Kings Moutnain :: essays papers

Patrick Ferguson Battle of Kings Moutnain ï » ¿Patrick Ferguson was a cavalry leader of the British army. He joined the army at the age of 14 and by the time the Scotsman came to America to fight patriots he had become a respected, yet controversial leader. He taught his men guerrilla warfare and used camouflage during battles. This made traditional military leaders feel spite towards him because he had broken from the conventional formations. Ferguson was also a great marksman, reputed to be the best shot in the British military. Because of this he had little respect for the smooth bored â€Å"Brown Bess† musket that was used by Red Coats in America. He invented a breech loading rifle with a grooved barrel. This provided a firearm that was very accurate and could be reloaded without standing. Ferguson came to America with a small army. Before challenging General Washington’s men in a battle, Ferguson had the opportunity to kill the General, but wouldn’t take the shot because he felt a man of his stature did not deserve to die from a shot in the back. During the ensuing battle, Ferguson took a bullet in the right elbow and after the battle, argued with surgeons who wanted to amputate the arm. Ferguson kept the crippled arm and took nine months to recover. He taught himself to fence with his left hand and now carried a silver whistle that he used to signal his men. Ferguson traveled though the souther colonies recruiting sympathizers of the crown for his army and he traveled with two women, both of which were named Virginia. Ferguson met his demise on October 7, 1780 at the battle of Kings Mountain. After fighting a losing battle against separatist forces Ferguson was shot by several patriots. It is said that the force from seven musket balls lifted him out of his saddle where he died after being pulled by his horse. My opinion of Patrick Ferguson is that he was a great military genius. He tried to abandon old methods of warfare my adopting guerrilla tactics. He was a leader that his men respected and would follow willingly into battle. The instance were he had George

Film Stars Are Earning Too Much?

Constantly appearing under the spot lights, attending endless extravagant parties and feasts, famous film actors, singers, or sportsmen are absolutely celebrities of contemporary society who can earn a huge money that normal people cannot even imagine. Personally I cannot be convinced that this is justified. Nowadays, in most countries, it is not uncommon that these celebrities, or so called ‘stars', make an incredible money with very little effort. For instance, through an endorsement of certain cosmetics brand, an actor/actress could probably get a payment reaching around several millions which equals to at least 10 years' disposable income of an ordinary working family. Therefore, this may attract more youngsters to move into the entertainment industries with false promises of being popular and successful. Besides that, occupations like film actors or singers, from my point of view, are by no means as essential and imperative to our society as some of others vocations such as teachers, doctors, or scientists, to name but a few.Just imagine, how can we survive in a society without any doctor when we get sick? Without teachers, how can we impart all the precious experiences and knowledge to our descendants, thus secure the future of our society. Considering the factors identified above, I tend to agree that stars' big income can by no means be justified by the effort they dedicated. However, let us consider some of the points that may be made in defense of their huge income. For example, the stiff competitions, a lack of privacy, or the relatively short professional life, etc. But, when they choose the career themselves , all these stresses are something they have to be confronted with, and can by no means justify their extravagant life style. By contrast, professionals (e. g. , teachers, doctors, scientists, etc. ) always play a much more pivotal, fundamental, indispensable role in our community. Thus, steps should be taken by governments to raise the awa reness of general public, and to raise social status, as well as incomes of these professionals.

Explorations of Astrology

One of astrology's first graces on human minds was with the Babylonians and Ancient Egyptians, and then spread throughout the Arab world. Since, there has been explorations of astrology through manuscripts and celestial objects made by Arab craftsmen. Many islamic ornamental motifs and architecture references astrological findings. The Islamic calendar says that the day begins at sunset and the five prayers start from that time. Adjusting times for prayer grew out of observing the heavens, a practice known since the ancient Egyptians and Babylonians. The Arabs, for centuries, studied the sky and examined the groups of stars and phases of the moon on their long desert travels. This education of space was adapted and developed to conform to the practice of Islam. During the medieval period of the Islamic world, the science of astrology as a branch from astronomy was translated by the Greeks into Arabic, along with Sasanian, Indian and ancient Egyptian influences, allowing more scientific and mathematical development by mathematicians and scientists of the Arab world. The subject came to be a very popular one, as it was taken interest in by scholars such as Abu Ma'shar al-Balkhi, al-Biruni, and Nasir al-Din al-Tusi. There is evidence of this topic being widespread throughout the Islamic world, such as manuscripts and astrological records found in al-Fustat in Egypt. Since there has proven to be much scientific evidence and involvement in the study of the stars and planets, how did this outbreak of information in the Islamic world affect Islamic Art? And why was it so significant? There is much architecture, objects and textiles from the Islamic World that express the significance of this topic, such as Qusayr ‘Amra (figure 1) in Jordan, built by Umayyad caliph Walid II in the early 8th century, which features a frescoed caldarium ceiling depicting the twelve Zodiac constellations. The exterior of the construction is very minimal; the only ornamentation being small domes and triple arches. Otherwise, the ornamentation becomes servant to the architecture. The techniques that were contributed into constructing Qusayr ‘Amra references the Roman and Byzantine techniques: predominately limestone and terracotta brick, along with other types of stones. The frescoed ceilings in the caldarium, or the hot plunge bath, is said to be the earliest depiction of the stars painted on a domed surface. It features 35 recognizable constellations along with, as mentioned previously, twelve zodiacs. There has been reported to be one mistake: the order of the stars in the counterclockwise direction, which tells that it is possible that the fresco was copied from a flat surface. This fresco, however, is not the only one in Qusayr ‘Amra: there were many brilliant murals in several of the other chambers that suggest that the caliphs of this â€Å"pleasure palace† lived a luxurious lifestyle. This luxury tells of an involvement in The use of imagery in relation to astrology began in the twelfth century, and eventually taken in for its visual decorative quality, by the Ghaznavids and the Seljuqs among others, and they adopted it with their own meanings and influences. The gilded and over glazed bowl (figure 2) depicts figures very close to those of the Kashan. There is Kufic inscriptions around the rim of the bowl, and the focal point is the sun-shaped face in the center, with a classical depiction of the six planets surrounding it. There are images of figures sitting on thrones, riding on horseback, and playing instruments composed in a radial composition, following the form of the object. The only two seated figures on thrones sit across from each other on the band, with the other figures surrounding it. This motif combines two different motifs that are common in Islamic art together: the image of figures performing activities or in a scene depicted centrally to the object, as can be seen in the Stain- and overglaze-painted bowl (Ettinghausen, Grabar, Jenkins-Madina, 175), for example, and images of a single figure repeated to create a visual pattern, as demonstrated in the outer rim of Glazed and lustre-painted composite-bodied bowl (Ettinghausen, Grabar, Jenkins-Madina, 174). This royal bowl is very similar to the Stain- and overglaze-painted beaker (Ettinghausen, Grabar, Jenkins-Madina, 176) in the way that it has different tiers showing different figures in action repeated across the band of the beaker. The copper-alloy mirror (figure 3) is another royal artifact that utilizes the zodiacs as symbols of power made for Artuqid ruler Artuq Shah. The heavy-relief bird in the center of the mirror

Definition of Boycott

Definition of Boycott The word boycott entered the English language because of a dispute between a man named Boycott and the Irish Land League in 1880. Where Boycott Got Its Name Captain Charles Boycott was a British Army veteran who worked as a landlords agent, a man whose job was to collect rents from tenant farmers on an estate in northwest Ireland. At the time, landlords, many of whom were British, were exploiting Irish tenant farmers. As part of a protest, the farmers on the estate where Boycott worked demanded a reduction in their rents. Boycott refused their demands and evicted some tenants. The Irish Land League advocated that people in the area not attack Boycott, but rather use a new tactic: refuse to do business with him at all. This new form of protest was effective, as Boycott wasnt able to get workers to harvest crops. By the end of 1880 newspapers in Britain began using the word. A front-page article in the New York Times on December 6, 1880, referred to the affair of Capt. Boycott and used the term boycottism to describe tactics of the Irish Land League. Research in American newspapers indicates that the word crossed the ocean during the 1880s. In the late 1880s boycotts in America were being referred to in the pages of the New York Times. The word was generally used to denote labor actions against businesses. For example, the Pullman Strike of 1894 became a national crisis when a boycott of railroads brought the nations rail system to a halt. Captain Boycott died in 1897, and an article in the New York Times on June 22, 1897, noted how his name had become a common word: Capt. Boycott became famous through the application of his name to the relentless social and business ostracism first practiced by the Irish peasantry against the detested representatives of landlordism in Ireland. Although a descendant of an old Essex County family in England, Capt. Boycott was an Irishman by birth. He made his appearance in County Mayo in 1863 and according to James Redpath, he had not lived there five years before he won the reputation of being the worst land agent in that section of the country. The 1897 newspaper article also provided an account of the tactic that would take his name. It described how Charles Stewart Parnell  proposed  a plan to ostracize land agents during a speech in Ennis, Ireland, in 1880. And it described in detail how the tactic was utilized against Captain Boycott: When the Captain sent for the tenantry on the estates for which he was agent to cut the oats, the whole neighborhood combined in a refusal to work for him. Boycotts herdsmen and drivers were sought out and persuaded to strike, his female servants were induced to leave him, and his wife and children were obliged to do all of the house and farm work themselves. Meanwhile his oats and corn remained standing, and his stock would have been unfed had he not exerted himself night and day to attend to their wants. Next the village butcher and grocer declined to sell provisions to Capt. Boycott or his family, and when he sent to neighboring towns for supplies he found it absolutely impossible to get anything. There was no fuel in the house, and nobody would cut turf or carry coal for the Captains family. He had to tear up floors for firewood. Boycotting Today The tactic of boycotting was adapted to other social movements in the 20th century. One of the most significant protest movements in American history, the Montgomery Bus Boycott, demonstrated the power of the tactic. To protest segregation on city buses, African American residents of Montgomery, Alabama, refused to patronize the buses for more than 300 days from late 1955 to late 1956. The bus boycott inspired the Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s and changed the course of American history. Over time the word has become quite common, and its connection to Ireland and the land agitation of the late 19th century has been generally forgotten.

Marketing Research Proposal for Film 4 You DVD Rental Store Paper

Marketing Proposal for Film 4 You DVD Rental Store - Research Paper Example The firm that is analyzed in the paper is Films 4 You Company limited is a regional company with headquarters in New York. Established in the year 1999 with strong market presence in provision of DVD rental services, Films 4 You Company Limited has a track record of distributing 500 DVD consumer rental per day representing a 5% share in the DVD rental business in New York economy. DVD rentals are specifically are a cherished service for all age groups especially for high school students, college students, teenagers, young adults and parents who choose the DVD rental services for entertainment purposes. Major competitors in the DVD rental business include upcoming rental stores, online rental providers and media houses that broadcast entertainment DVDs. Over the last three years, Films 4 You Ltd has experienced downward revenue from its business, perhaps reasons that can be hypothetically attributed to rapid surge of online rental provisions or inability of the company to meet the dyn amic and changing consumers buying behaviors when it comes to DVD rental. Similar pilot market studies have ranked online stores and inadequacy to meeting customer’s needs as to major factors that can be attributed to the decline in the sales revenue of the organization. Suggests that the introduction of internet has by far means changed the way businesses are conducted globally. Internet has played a significant role in the value chain from manufacturing, distribution and retail outlets. Merrilees further adds that the main sector affected by internet is perhaps the marketing aspect. Online marketing according to this research studies is composed of the basic P’s marketing just as in convectional marketing, (price, product, people and place) and perhaps the online marketing could poses competitive advantage since it adequately enhances and utilizes these four components in one place. (Ducoffe, 1996) On the other hand, Film 4 You suggests that another contributing fact or for the sales decline would be as a result of a shift in the consumer’s buying behavior. In pure competitive markets consumers vary in age, buying behavior, income, education, taste and many factors that play to inform consumer’s preferences. When classified, buyer buying behaviors are generally influenced by four major factors including; cultural, personal, psychological and social factors. This paper presents background analysis of the perceived factors that affect Film 4 You with their respective background study, proposed objectives of the study, statement of the problem, scope and limitation of the study, methodologies used and design of the research study and significance of the study. This paper analyses on consumer behavior and emergence of online marketing as important due to the immediate applicability in the global business economy. In addition, this research is of the specific opinion to evaluate which one the highlighted factors would be responsible for such observed business poor performance. Background information Online Marketing Marketing studies by (Merrilees, 2001)suggests that internet has revolutionized how organizations conduct their business worldwide. Its advent has seen a new shift in marketing paradigm around on improving the value chain along manufacturing and retail to end users creating a new pattern of retail distribution channel. (Cobanoglu, Ekinci, & Park, 2003) Ideally online marketing has seen such an increase and usage among consumers as a result of strong working trust among parties involved, building strong and working relationships and recognizing the fact that the customers work to define their rules of engagement.
